The RB engine family includes single overhead camshaft (SOHC) and double overhead camshaft (DOHC) engines. The RB26DETT engine was a 2.6 L (2,568 cc) inline-six engine for the 1989–2002 Skyline GT-R, with each cylinder containing a DOHC four-valve arrangement (24 valves total) that featured six independent valves (three linked groups of two throttle assemblies) instead of a single throttle body.
